Good morning! Yesterday, my family and I went to a local restaurant for dinner. I got noodles with tomato sauce in the biggest bowl I have ever seen in my whole entire life. The bowl easily had 5 servings of pasta! I didn’t finish the whole thing, because I was so stuffed! (I didn’t get the chance to take a picture, sorry!) What did you do on the weekend?
This morning I was really craving pancakes and bananas. So I combined those two and made a Banana Protein Pancake! It tasted amazing and I will definitely be making these again very soon!
Ingredients:
- 1 Scoop of Protein Powder (I used Designer Whey All Natural Protein Powder)
- 1 Egg White
- 1/2 Mashed Banana
- Cinnamon (Optional)
- Stevia (Optional)
Instructions:
- Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix very well.
- Spray your pan with olive oil (or whatever you’d like to use) and heat up your stove (Medium Heat).
- Pour pancake mixture into your pan.
- Flip over the pancake after about 1 min.
This pancake is loaded with protein! These nutrition stats vary, depending on which protein powder you use.
I decided to top my pancake with peanut flour “sauce” because ever since I bought peanut flour I have been in love with it! And I love the banana and peanut butter combo so this was perfect!
I got some comments asking me how I made the Peanut Flour “Sauce” in my previous post, so here’s how: Put two tablespoons of peanut flour into a small bowl, add some Stevia (Optional) and cinnamon (Optional), add about one to one and a half tablespoons of water and mix well.
Now I’m off to kick some things off of my to-do list whilst drinking my tea. :)
What protein powder do you use? What are your favorite pancake toppings?
This looks really good! What did you eat it with?

Mmmm I love pb flour and bananas! Such a good combo!!!!b
ReplyDeleteWhen you commented that you had a pancake for breakfast, I HAD to come check it out ;)
ReplyDeleteI have not been able to get my hands on peanut flour! I don't know what I'm waiting for, but as soon as I do I will be making this sauce.
Yum! This looks so good :)
ReplyDeleteI don't use protein powder - too expensive!
looks so good! I mainly use TruScience Trutein. It is sooo good, definitely one of the best brands I have ever used. ALL of the flavors are amazing, too!

ReplyDeleteI made chocolate pancakes this morning (but couldn't eat them :/) but recipe will be on my blog soon!! <3
I've been dying to try peanut flour! Looks so cool :)
ReplyDeleteI use nutribiotic rice protein, both the vanilla and chocolate flavors. It isn't sweetened like a like of protein powders, which I prefer. Love how you topped your pancake with a peanut flour sauce!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had pancakes in quite a while...I think it shall be time soon...
ReplyDeleteMMMmmM, good looking pancake!!
ReplyDeleteI dont really use protein powder, but I want to buy hemp seeds or hemp protein to up my intake :)
The pancake looks Yummy! I need to start using a protein powder. I'm not sure where to start. I should do some research.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to make protein pancakes but I think I really need to give them a try :)
ReplyDeleteI love Rooibos tea :)
yum, I love banana pancakes! I've always wanted to try peanut flour, but I never seem to find it when I shop, or I never really look that hard for it. I'll have to get some!
ReplyDeleteI love nut butter, maple syrup, applesauce, or berries on my pancakes. Alone... or all together:)
ReplyDeleteI've wanted to make pancakes with protein powder for ages--definitely no excuse now, I've got to try this recipe! I use a vegan rice protein powder. And would love to try peanut flour sauce, but can't find the flour around here. I'll just have to stick with maple syrup for now :D
ReplyDeletePancakes are rather popular in the blog world this past weekend :P I LOVE protein pancakes! I use this generic vanilla stuff... I don't know the name off the top of my head. I love putting blueberries on them :)
ReplyDeleteMmmmm pancakes!! I made our family whole wheat pancakes yesterday and they were delicious! Maple syrup and bananas were my toppers but sometimes I put peanut butter and jam or a homemade fruit compote on top too...
ReplyDeleteI love Vanilla rooibis tea!
Yum! I love pancakes. I am big on some type of fruit/nut butter topping. Usually it is banana, and pecan butter :)
ReplyDeleteI really do not use protein powder very often. I have a container of unflavored pea protein that I have had for several months.
Yummmms!
ReplyDeleteI also like to put the teeeensiest pinch of salt in my peanut flour sauce, just enough to offset the stevia aftertaste!
Favourite pancake toppings would have to be maple syrup and chopped bananas - although that peanut flour sauce is looking pretty good! Need to get some of that stuff soon.

ReplyDeleteYumm yum! I love that these have a great amount of protein in them... that helps to keep me full
ReplyDeleteMy favorite toppings are good old maple syrup and also warm/melted fruit :)
Looks delish! Sorry I've not commented in a while, i thought I'd subscribed ooops. I use a cruddy protein powder, its very artificial but cheap too! Pancake toppings - coconut shavings all the way!
ReplyDeleteI love those flavor combinations, Shannon!
ReplyDeletebut I think I would have been hungry 5 minutes later!- I'd need about 5 of them :)
This looks so good. I definitely need to try to make peanut flour sauce because it seems so delish and very popular. I guess that means its legit.
ReplyDeleteYum! My fav pancake toppings lately have been apples or strawberries :)
ReplyDeleteOh yum! I love putting pb on pancakes and this probably takes it to a whole other level.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I don't use protein powder. I used to borrow my roommates a bit here and there and never got my own.
I use Bluebonnet Vanilla and I really really like it. It doesn't have the gross after taste like so many of them do.
ReplyDeleteI love my pancakes with berries and whipped cream :-)
ReplyDelete1. I haven't had pancakes in over a decade.
ReplyDelete2. Bananas still cost $3 each here.
3. We can't get peanut flour in Australia.
4. OH THE ENVY!! :D
this looks really yummy! i've been eating lotsa gluten free pancakes lately but they don't have very much protein so i'm definitely gonna have to try this! :)
ReplyDeleteI add a teeny bit of salt to my peanut flour sauce too. Otherwise we make ours about the same!

I looove warmed berries on pancakes. Though a nut butter sauce is making a slow comeback
ReplyDeleteI don't use protein powder often enough to have a favorite brand. I do like to make protein pancakes though so I might just have to look for this brand.
ReplyDeleteyum! this sounds super good and very protein packed!!!
ReplyDeleteI love making protein pancakes!! I tend to top all of them with peanut butter and fruit :) Usually a naner actually. I think those go good with anything!!
ReplyDeleteYum, pancakes are the best... but peanut flour is better! I just got mine last week and it's sent me into a baking frenzy testing it out!! SO DELICIOUS.... will have to try the "sauce" soon ;)
ReplyDeleteYay pancakes! They're just perfect for any meal! I usually don't top my pancakes I just add many ingredients and more sugar to them :-)
ReplyDeleteI see pancakes all over the blog world, but I don't have them very often, because I'm not very good at making them!
ReplyDeleteThese look levely :-)
Your pancake looks adorable by itself. And that peanut butter flour sauce looks so yummy! I wonder if it could be used in thai curry dishes as well?? :)
ReplyDeleteahhh this sounds so good!
ReplyDeleteThe pancake look wonderful! Peanut flour sauce? Sounds interesting. I would love to try that out. :)
ReplyDeleteI use Swanson Vanilla protein and I love it :)
