Hi everyone! Thanks to everyone that has entered my Bendiful giveaway! If you haven't entered yet, you have until this Thursday to enter and win a pretty awesome watch! :)
I have a busy week filled with homework and exams ahead of me. Not really looking forward to that.. I am looking forward to seeing all the WIAW posts though! Today, I’m going to share my Tuesday eats with you. Per usual, thank you Jenn for hosting this! :)
For breakfast yesterday all I wanted was carbs! I had 3 pieces of crisp bread topped with butter and honey, 2 pieces of toasted rye bread topped with butter and half a banana on the side. I wanted to top my banana slices with cinnamon, but then I realized that I’m all out..bummer! It was still a tasty breakfast though!
Lunch today was a big serving of sweet corn and a tortilla wrap filled with turkey breast deli meat, one egg white and hot sauce.
After finishing some homework, I had a yogurt mess. I mixed some puffed Kamut, an Activia yogurt, stevia and raw oats together and enjoyed while procrastinating reading blogs.
Once dinner time rolled around, I had no idea what I wanted. I started looking through our pantry and found some tomato soup that was calling my name! So I fixed myself a bowl of creamy (store bought) tomato soup and had a English muffin topped with butter on the side. Perfect meal for a cold evening!

ReplyDeletePersonally, I do procrastinate, but it's part of my plan for school work really. Allowed myself to procrastinate a little bit actually helps me do better and more consistent work. I don't leave things to the very last minute though!
ReplyDeleteI love any homemade soups and English muffins are my current addiction. I love them. I mean, I always have, but lately, they've been extra good!

ReplyDeleteI used to be the queen of procrastination. I am much better now than I was when I was in school that's for sure. Since I have only had a larabar today I think the best thing I had yesterday was carrot cake. YUM!
ReplyDeleteI'm so bad with procrastination - reading blogs is my weakness.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite soups are mushroom and lentil, perfect on a cold night :)
Im a HORRID procrastinator. So so bad. But I'm really trying to work on it!! My favorite soup is probably tomato. As long as I have a grilled cheese to dip into it :)

ReplyDeletei love carbs so your breakfast looks delicious :)
ReplyDeleteLove tomato soup with grilled cheese but I am a sucker for veggie as well.
ReplyDeleteI tend to be a little OCD so I usually have things done ahead of time, but if I am feeling tired/sick/out of the norm I can totally procrastinate with the best of them :)
Don't you hate it when yo're out of cinnamon? It is just the worst.
ReplyDeleteActivia yogurt. Does it have artificial sweeteners in it? I tend to just like plain yogurt. I found an interesting one today fig plum with grains but I didn't even like it- imagine!
Congrats on the Liebster blog award, how cute.
Favourite kind of soup is anything with lots of veg in a broth.
I used to hate tomato soup until last year! Weird huh? but my favourite soup of all have to be creamy mushroom soup! :D that used to be my 'sick' soup when I was a kid!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your reward! How exciting! I love black bean soup and my mom's vietnames vegetable soup. It's delicious! Have a great day Shannon! :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes all you need is carbs! Not all day every day, but sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteAww thank you darling!! I'm a carb queen too....protein always comes in the form of protein bars (with carbs) or cottage cheese for me!
ReplyDeleteJk...sort of :)
Happy Wednesday!
I didn't eat soup all summer... but now the weather has cooled, I can't get enough of the stuff! Your tomato soup looks absolutely lush! Today, me and Lil' L had watercress and leek soup. It might not sound great, but the taste is amazing! It's Lil' L's favourite soup and he's been eating it since he was about 4!
ReplyDeleteOther favourite soups are lightly spiced parsnip soup; tomato and lentil; and spicy butternut squash in coconut milk.
I procrastinate so much by reading blogs! It's a time suck. I could really go for some soup right now, especially with the dropping temperature!
ReplyDeleteMmmm that yogurt mess looks amazing. I love lentil soup. I probably will eat some today :)
ReplyDeleteall your food looks amazing! it's really nice to know that you can eat healthy and intuitively. it gives me hope that i too will be able to do that one day!
ReplyDeleteI have days where nothing sounds good except for carbs. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a procrastinator and always have been. But I always perform well under pressure, so I guess that's a good thing :) Though I think my anxiety level has increased over the years and I'm starting to feel the need to "plan" more.
I spend most of my life procrastinating. I want to know why when you have tons of work to do, there is always something to distract you and when you have no work...you get bored and can't think of what to do!? I'm deadline driven, so weeks before when people are asking "which essay title you doing" or "have you got books out the library yet", I haven't even thought about it yet! I do think I need to be more organised though, it would make my life easier!
ReplyDeletePea soup is my favourite and borscht!
